Biography

Debbie Knight has had a life long passion for wildlife conservation & art. She works in oil & watercolour. Her subjects range from; African wildlife, primates, big Cats & pet portraits. A founder member of MIWAS & part of the committee, she has successfully sold many paintings and commissions.
She always endeavours to paint from her heart. Debbie has travelled on several expeditions to the remote game reserves of Botswana, visiting the Okavango Delta, Savute & Chobe providing her with memories & friends that will last a life time. She is devoted to her family. Aside from painting she undertakes voluntary work at Southampton General Hospital & Marwell helping to raise funds for WWF & EAZA.

Debbie has always been a lover of life, even though she has been through a challenging time with her health. She now appreciates sometimes you have to take it day by day, minute by minute, wait for your brain to catch up with your heart & that you will find the beautiful things in life again.

She has found great joy in watching the wonderful artistic talents of her Marwellous friend’s blossom & flourish. Those friends have encouraged each other to discover their uniqueness & provide ways of developing its expression, to which she is personally so grateful to her dear friends Sandra & Geoff Read. Her inspiration comes from nature & all her creative friends. She feels blessed to have Angels for friends. True friends are so important in life. Her frames come from Helen & Graham “Browns Fine Art”. Her reference provided by Geoff Read. Her special thanks go to her dear Mum & Dad, Fran Springfield, Anne Watson, Liz Hills & Kim Sutton for enabling her to be true to her heART!
Happy Painting,
Debbie
